What skills have you acquired working at Parimatch?
I gained experience in creating a legal and financial structure. At first Parimatch had only one Ukrainian company. Also there was one license, which is still valid. At that time royalty-free payments were not taken. While there was not the necessary payment systems. The site looked like an information panel. Then the rates were made. Customers deposited money to the offline casino.
What happened after six years of work?
Then there were different companies. I added about six licenses. The company received services from more than twenty-five banks. The number of payment systems increased. The number of these systems amounted to more than fifty. Nearly twenty countries cooperated with the company. Parimatch has been working with soccer clubs.
How did the first company come into being?
Somehow it became clear that Parimatch needed to propose a system connected with finances. As it turned out, in the world there are different companies which have a demand for such payment systems.
It was suggested that the partners went offline. After that, fintech projects began to develop independently. For the management of fintech projects, a management structure was needed. Thus, the existence of an investment company No. 1 was determined.
What influenced the name of the company?
It was the first motivation. When it was the first company, the results of the work must match. There should not be dissonance, when one thing is considered, but another is done.
Should we consider "Asquad" the first forum?
Initially the sports bank was created in 2018. Only then Asquad appeared.
Oleksiy Kulik, the head of Asquad, wanted to tell us about the tasks performed by the Parimatch employees. We understood then that Asquad should be turned into a technology company. Our task is to provide high-quality and quick integration in the field of payment solutions. It will be beneficial not only for Parimatch, but also for all markets. The emergence of Asquad is linked to the solution of a complex problem. The company can integrate payment solutions in one or two days. Without fail it will be able to conquer a lot of markets.
What kind of technology does the first company use?
The main essence is not the title. Oleksiy Kulik described what Corozoid is. It will allow you to quickly create integration. The business will have an agile process. That is why we decided that it is necessary to use Corezoid.
Do you plan to create the first company in other countries?
I want to believe that the fintech in Ukraine will by all means bring profits. But the Ukrainian engineering business cannot be sold at a high price. It is impossible to make a profit if the state will be hunted by Ukrainian clients. That is why the only positive trend in the Ukrainian financial sector is dividends and profits. In two or three years the number one company has to earn some money and bring profit. Also, this amount will be invested in the company.
What does Ukraine gain from this?
The foreign market is not interested in analogues. N26 and Revolut could not find themselves in Ukraine. There is also a local specificity. It constantly interferes with the work. If "Kaspi" appears in Ukraine, Pandora's screen will appear.
